Cryin’ Ryan to Miss Saturday’s Islander Reunion

Per ESPN, ex-Islander Ryan Smyth has a broken ankle and will be out up to eight weeks, including Saturday night when the Islanders come to visit Smyth and the ‘Lanche.
The Colorado Avalanche say forward Ryan Smyth has a broken right ankle and will miss up to eight weeks.
Smyth was hurt during Colorado’s 4-3 overtime loss at Phoenix on Monday. The club said Thursday the fracture was discovered during a follow-up MRI.

But this means Smyth will be out when the Islanders come to town tomorrow night. Always the emotional lad, Smyth began to openly weep when he thought of his former New York teammates. Thankfully, he was able to dab his eyes with enormous stacks of money.
