So How About That Rick Nash Goal?

January 18th, 2008 by Tom

Wow. Easily one of the most impressive goals I’ve ever seen. A 10 out of 10 on the scorecard. The type of goal people will be claiming they saw live for years to come.

Columbus’s Rick Nash broke out the hoodoo and the voodoo and mesmerized a couple of Coyote defenders before putting a game-winning goal past keeper Mikael Tellqvist with just 21 seconds to go in regulation last night. It was nasty and it was clutch.

Here’s what Nash had to say about the goal.

“It all happened so fast,” Nash told the Columbus Dispatch. “It just seemed like the puck was on a string. I just kept making dekes and it found its way into the net.”

Wow. Hockey’s awesome. Enjoy, compliments of Jefflered and YouTube.

    Murph,

I have seen some outstanding goals in my time (Owen Nolan called shot http://youtube.com/watch?v=kSb_5PHRb1w comes to mind), or the “Ovechkin” goal from his back - but Nash completely deked every single person in his way out of their pants/jocks/skates whatever. Simply amazing!
