As great as that 40 goal season was, it was the worst thing that ever could have happened to him. Everybody, including himself, started believing he was more than he was, and he tried to bank on it. I believe Toronto is going to buy him out after this season. Hopefully he's able to accept what he is and goes back to playing his role, which is pretty damned effective at. Extremely mixed opinions on this, but personally I wouldn't mind him back on the Island if he's willing to accept the paycut and play the Jason Blake style hockey we've seen here throughout the first half of the decade. fauxrumors hit the nail on the head. His health issues aside, he was a bit over rated to be expected to score 30-40 annually. 2) He's a good pesky 2nd or 3rd line PK type player who had a couple of good offensive seasons, AND is 35 years old now.
